Kurt C. Jones, DDS
Board Certified Oral Surgeon in Annapolis
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Kurt Jones is the first-generation son of Jamaican parents. He started his education at the University of Maryland (College Park Campus) and he received a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology in 1997. Dr. Jones continued his education at Howard University College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree in 2003. After dental school, Dr. Jones returned home to New York, and completed a one-year General Practitioner Residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Realizing that he a had passion for the surgical aspect of dentistry, Dr. Jones returned to the greater DC area and completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in 2008. As part of his surgical training, Dr. Jones completed a craniofacial rotation with Dr. Jeffery Posnick, where he learned advanced techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of dento-facial deformities.
Dr. Jones joined Drs. Walzer, Sullivan and Hlousek in 2008. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2012. He is a member of multiple local and national organizations, including: The American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Maryland State Dental Association, and the Mid-Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a staff member at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He has a special interest in implant dentistry, advanced bone grafting techniques, pathology and trauma. Dr. Jones also volunteers at the Stanton Center Dental Outreach Clinic, which provides free dental and medical services to Anne Arundel’s County’s under-served community. When Dr. Jones is not working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
