3D dental imaging scanner in an oral surgery office

CT Scans (ICAT)

Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, ICAT full-cranial cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of oral surgery. This technology provides full-cranial, highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, TMJ analysis, airway assessment and other dental procedures. Undistorted, anatomically correct views of the jaws, teeth and facial bones along with cross-sectional (bucco-lingual), axial, coronal, sagittal, cephalometric and panoramic views are easily generated. Three-dimensional images enable a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies.

Intra-Oral Scanning

Intraoral scanners allow us to create a highly detailed, three-dimensional digital model of your teeth and bite using a small handheld camera—often eliminating the need for traditional dental impressions and messy impression materials.

These digital scans can be used to help plan dental implant treatment, design surgical guides and restorations, and create customized prosthetic solutions with exceptional precision. The digital information can also be combined with 3D CBCT imaging and in-office 3D printing, allowing our team to plan and perform treatment using an efficient, fully digital workflow.

For patients, this technology provides a faster, more comfortable experience while helping us deliver precise, customized, and predictable care.

3D Printing

3D printing allows us to transform a patient’s digital scans and 3D imaging into highly accurate, customized surgical and dental solutions created specifically for their anatomy. Using advanced in-office 3D printing technology, we can fabricate items such as surgical guides, anatomical models, temporary teeth, and other customized appliances to assist with treatment.

By combining 3D printing with CBCT imaging, intraoral scanning, and digital treatment planning, our surgeons can carefully plan procedures before surgery and translate that plan directly to patient care. This technology can improve precision, efficiency, customization, and predictability, while allowing many components of treatment to be designed and produced conveniently within our office.
